Plenty of sockets provided in case you screw up assembly and put in a chip upside down, etc. If you ever wondered how a clock is built using just CD4000 series logic, this is it. Note that I added an external 32768 Hz oscillator but you could also use an adjustable capacitor and hang out fiddling with a frequency counter. I'm just lazy.
