This seems as easy to play on as a 4C or student model mouthpiece but allows more variable tone and articulation. Allows better response to the player’s expression. I don’t think I’ll need to upgrade for a long time from this one. It’s great on my Martin tenor saxophone.

Yamaha makes decent stuff; don’t expect too much, but this is a better sounding mouthpiece than the plastic trash being shipped with most student altos these days. Good price and fast shipping!

I bought it when mine was out for repairs and it is more than an acceptable substitution.
