    Excellently written, cannot recommend this book enough *****

    I bought this book because I enjoy historical fiction, and found this and the other books in the 'Boudica' series written by Manda Scott to be outstandingly good. They are meticulously researched and although the stories are fictional in part, they are very believable and run along the historical facts known about the life of Boudica and her leadership in the revolt against the Roman invasion. It was absolutely fascinating, I am currently nearing the end of the last book in the series and I am rationing myself to delay finishing it, because I will miss it SOoo much. I have read books by Jules Watson set in a similar period, and this author is equally as good. Scott and Watson are now both my very favourite authors. I love the history of this period and all the Celtic healing and religion ...
