Latching relay with delay after closing and not before closing.
This timer closes a relay immediately upon trigger wire touching of negative battery terminal or as in my case the removal of 12v+ pos from trigger wire. Had to cut the blue wire loop for 12 v+. Holding the trigger wire to positive 12v terminal will not trigger relay--only the removal from the 12 pos terminal triggers. So I had to use a 5 pole relay with a normally closed contact to switch to the normally open contact triggering the Dei 528t relay when truck door opens. The relay on the Dei 528t is not connected to the board so basically any voltage can be switched through the relay. The close coil voltage of the relay is done internally through the circuit board though. The trigger will be immediate as described above but the delay will only be in how long the relay stays closed. I had ... I had wanted a relay that would delay closing upon trigger but had to make due with the addition of the other relay. There are delay on make relays that were found later with countdown timers on Amz.

Touchy timer dial but works great.
Great relay timer for an alarm. Used the trunk output for the garage door opener. Needed a timer so it would trigger the opener for 3 seconds. Dial setting is touchy so wound up getting 4 seconds but works fine!!!
