About this product

Product Information

I'm too fast, you're too slow. Pan, pan, patty-cake pan, I can get away from you, I can! The much-loved story of the Runaway Pancake who pops out of the oven and is sure he can escape all who want to eat him, is given a new spin when Marsupial Sue and her friends put on a play version for their neighborhood. This has all of the wit and whimsy of Marsupial Sue and again features lively illustrations by Jack E. Davis. From the friends' preparations behind the scenes to the actors' final bows, readers will be inspired by the production. A CD recording of John Lithgow's live performance of the song The Runaway Pancake is also included.

Item was just as described (near new) and I had excellent communication with this seller. The item arrived much sooner than expected, which was a nice surprise. The only downside was the item could have been packaged better as the packaging was torn in places, exposing the the dust jacket of the book when I received it. Overall, a positive transaction.

Package arrived as would expect in good condition & promptly from when ordered all items in great condition & as or as described in the description & for a good descent price & what better recomendation for a seller who provided a standard of service expected not just in a reasonable prompt delivery, price, & also a satisfied satisfaction in the quality of the items previously supported & recommended by other customer recommendations from ebay feedback but to want to be a repeat customer.

  • Marsupial Sue Presents the Runaway Pancake

We have fallen in love with John Lithgow's books. He is a fantastic writer, our daughter loves all of his books that we've bought. Marsupial Sue Present the Runaway Pancake is fantastic! It's so creative and hilarious. The hardback comes with a CD of John reading the book and he is such an animated reader, it really brings the book to life and makes our 3 year old laugh out loud! He's hilarious and this book is wonderful! I highly recommend it to anyone! It's all about Marsupial Sue, a character he created, but in this book she is presenting a play about a runaway pancake! It's hilarious, all of her 'friends' are animals dressed as a different animal for the play. It's great fun, well written and one of the most creative children's books I've seen in a while.

  • Marsupial Sue - Lithgow

Marsupial Sue Presents is a delightful book. My granddaughter, who is four, listens to it over and over. It comes with a CD of John Lithgow reading the story and singing the refrain. He is excellent. I recommend this book for children 3 through 8 years old. We bought this book because a friend had it.
