I put it on that night and it played flawlessly for 55mins but would go no further. Whoever sold it to them didn't tell them it had a manufacturing defect - very sneaky. Seller refunded my money quickly and I ordered another copy elsewhere. I had a problem with the movie Billy Budd last year where I ordered it 3x and couldn't get a playable copy.

    42nd Street SINGING & DANCING CLASSIC!

    "Come hear the beat of dancing feet,on the avenue I'm taking you to, Forty-Second Street." The tune will stay in your mind for days & you'll be tapping your feet for sure! When I married my husband 16 years ago I hadn't had a TV, VCR, etc forever. He came into the marriage with about 600 classic videos. My daughter than 3 quickly fell in love ith all the singing & dancing musicals! This was a favorite & appeals to all ages. This Busby Berkeley musical was nominated for Academy Awards for Best Picture and Best Sound in 1933. It is the story of an ailing Broadway Director Warner Baxter. He is putting his all into his last show, but.........when the leading lady breaks her ankle, Ruby Keeler must step in and take her place. With Co-stars Dick Powell, Ginger Rogers, and Bebe Daniels joining ...

    42nd street dvd review

    I saw "42nd St." first in the late 1970's on tv. I loved it. The choreography, singing, & dancing, was top notch. It was a great production, to say the least. I loved the acting by Ginger Rogers, Ruby Keeler, Una Merkel, Dick Powell, & others. It had a great story. There isn't anything not to love about "42nd Street". The dvd is very high quality. The audio is quite good, hard to believe it's from 1933. The video is clear & sharp. It's such a classic film, I had to get it. I've watched it 3 times since buying the dvd. It is the type of movie that can be watched over again. I'd recommend it to anyone. No matter what your personal taste is regarding movies, this is funny, entertaining, features great music, & gives us an interesting time capsule of the 1930's. Buy iy, you ...
