    Nikon AF 70-300mm lens

This lens is very robust and bell balanced. Very smooth zoom and takes excellent photos at any focal length. The 70mm focal length is excellent for portraits and the image is very sharp and clear. I took some wildlife photos at full zoom and the images through a car window was exceptional. Enlarged the prints were sharp and no distortion was noted. Highly recommend this lens for travelling and everyday use.

  • Good value but tricky to focus sometimes.

This is a nice piece of kit for the money. I am using it on a Nikon D5200. This lens is long when fully extended, but fortunately light. So it's not a problem to handle. It is not an autofocus lens and it can be tricky to focus it precisely on really distant objects such as ships in the distance. Final adjustments on focusing (after setting the general telescopic level with the barrel, which is easy) are accomplished by a ring near the outer lens. This takes a bit of getting used to and, particularly when fully extended, really challenges your eyesight to tell whether a distant object is really in sharp focus or out slightly. Generally, you don't know until you download the images to your computer and see them on a bigger screen. So you need to take extra shots at slightly ...

  • Great features and easy to use. Somewhat lighter in weight than I had expected.

It looks good, is well made and takes great photographs - makes me look a better photographer than I really am, so it can't be bad.. However, I am still learning and this will help me get better. It is a great product. I can find nothing bad to say about this product.. I look forward to using it for a long time.

  • Great value for money and providing excellent photographic results.

It is the next best thing to going for a fixed lens. With the vibration reduction and dual focus, M/A and used with my Nikon D5100 DSLR, clear, crisp/sharp images are so easy. I bought this lens as being a Nikon product, it should match my camera system with out fail.I did not compare other lens, in veiw of buying non genuine products.

  • Worth it!

The lens can produce tack sharp images in very good light. As expected, will need to shoot at higher ISO in low light. I've only used mine for bird photos and the results are above average. Excellent lens for its price.
