This is an excellent quality printer - typical of Epson products. The colors are rich and vibrant - even photos printed years ago still look new. The downside of this printer is that the actual printheads are integral to the printer and the ink cartridges are just reservoirs. (Other printers have the printheads on the cartridges.) This is a negative in that as the printheads clog up and/or degrade, the printer has to be cleaned or have parts replaced which can rapidly exceed the cost of the printer. Also, Epson has had problems with refilling the cartridges which has spawned an industry of chip resetters. Overall a great printer if you can find one with clean printheads.
This is a great all around printer that can print on multiple types of media. Its not that fast but not slow either. The print quality is great as long as you keep the printheads clean. The only thing I had a problem with is that sometimes it takes a while to start up and get ready to print. Overall I would say its an excellent printer for a student or someone who doesn't print a lot of photos.
This item was very clean for a used printer. Print head had dried out and was replaced with one from an existing C80 that had failed mechanically. After normal clean up etc, printer is performing excellent. Was purchased to replace a C80 that failed. And the price was great !
I cannot get the printer to print clearly. It seems like the print head is no good. I was missing the holder for the paper also. I have a printer like this so I was able to use the one I had. If I did not have that I would not be able to do so. I thought that when I bought the printer it was to be in working condition. I wanted the printer because I like the previous one that I had and when I check with epsm, this printer had been discontinued
I purchased this printer because it was just like the one I had and the ink I had just purchased would work with it. After buying a cable which I understood did not come with the printer it worked fine.
