This book is a must for Silver Collectors; concise and comprehensive
This is a very handy book for those who want a pocket-sized book to help them identify hallmarks on silver when they go to antiques fairs/shops etc or to identify hallmarks on silver found at home. Not every hallmark is in a book this small but it is surprising how few items cannot be identified using this wonderful little book. I actually find this book easier to use and most often quicker to identify marks than the more weighty tomes and sometimes you find the hallmark in this book quickly but it takes ages to find the same mark even in the bible of hallmarks English Goldsmiths and their Marks which you wouldn't want to lug around. the only silver hallmark book you need
this book is small light and the size of a pocket diary, but it is filled with masses of information which is relevant for novice or expert it is well written, clear, and well illustrated with clear detailed black and white hallmarks from all the assay offices past and present.

Very handy little book.
Great for all hallmarks, shame the books don't go beyond 1900 for the makers mark. But this can be found by searching enline. This book is a little scruffy, but it does the job!
