About this product

Product Information

The follow-up to WWF Raw offers a lineup of 45 pro wrestlers to compete in a greater variety of match types than found in 2001's game. Players will now be able to enter TLC contests in addition to Triple Threat, Fatal 4-Way, Battle Royal, and King of the Ring matches. Backstage areas have been created to allow for fights outside of the ring. An enhanced create-wrestler mode offers more character customization, and the dramatic entrances can now be set to specific songs previously saved on the Xbox hard drive. Among the featured wrestlers are Hollywood Hulk Hogan, the Rock, Rob Van Dam, DDP, Stone Cold Steve Austin, the Undertaker, and Ric Flair. Up to four players can embark on a season mode with their choice of grapplers.

Great game. Flawed, yes, but Fun.

The game has its obvious flaws, making it seem as if the creators of this game didn’t hire testers to test it prior to launch, but it’s an awesome game. I have put hours into season mode and love it. The game is a ton of fun, especially the in-depth create-a-wrestler mode which allows for you to make your own wrestler, who you can then throw into season mode and live out a drama through.

You are better off playing Smackdown: Here Comes The Pain.

Given my experience with playing Smackdown: Here Comes The Pain on PS2, I was under the false impression that RAW 2 would be similar, considering it is made by the same company and was released just two months prior to HCTP. Unfortunately, it is not. The game looks good, but the gameplay is awful and unrealistic. Long story short, there is a reason why to this day people still rave about HCTP, and yet nobody ever mentions RAW 2. I expected I would have a different experience, just on a different console. Very disappointing.

  • A great game with some flaws, that it more than makes up for.

After ten years, I still enjoy playing this game. It's essentially the original prototype to what would become the Universe Mode in the newer WWE Games, and it delivers. (If you enjoy playing Universe) Gameplay: 4/5 - Once you get past the learning curve, it's actually fairly easy to pick up and play. Personally, I've never seen any of the clipping problems this game is known for. Graphics: 4/5 - The models and entrances look great (Save for Goldberg and Rey Mysterio), but overall the look of the ring, the rope physics, the weapons look well done to me. Sound: 3.5/5 - The sound of the game is generally good, there are some strange ones, such as the climbing the cage and a lack of some superstar entrance music. The Create-a-Superstar mode is stellar, there aren't many people you can't ...

  • Best create a character on Xbox

I really love this game for one major reason: the create a player option. This game has absolutely my favorite create a player option for any game on the original Xbox. You can create absolutely unique character of your wildest imagination. You could make a minuture wrestler or a yellow skinned incredible hulk. Plus it plays well. It has tons of re-play value. It's lots of modes to run your teams of create a wrestlers through.

  • StoryMODE/Caw makes the game

the thing that would bring everyone to love this game would be the storymode... graphics 7.5/10 tbe graphics... almost but not quite some models dont look like the wrestler which sometimes really angers me about this game but im not gonna whine and cry over it gameplay 7.5/10 again another 7.5 its because the gameplay is really weird and sometimes hard to workout you run everyone and your character runs weird every character runs at the same speed even the big show everything seesm really slow in it storymode 9.5/10 nearly perfect the storymode is much better then some svr games id rather play this storymode then svr modes but... the 0.5 that it missed out on was because the storyline is stupid in the face that if you chanllege the champion the next week youll get a title shot but ...
