Hoping I would have a huge difference in sound quality and I was not disappointed. Not only a much better range of bass response but exactly what I expected from a high end speaker like Infinity. I am running a Pioneer head unit and after playing with the EQ settings have it dialed in well. Was thinking about going with a shallow mount sub and amp to balance out the low end but with the sound I have with the way this is set up with the head unit EQ, I am reconsidering the sub install. My days of "BOOM BOOM" are in the past and now I just want good clean sound with a decent bass punch to complete the sound range and I have that. I even have a fairly loud Magnaflow side exit exhaust in my truck and the music flows right over it. Extremely happy with the purchase!

These sound great in any F-150 Supercrew. My Lariat is a 2103 and these are a perfect upgrade since the factory system does no justice. The only flaw I had was that 1 speaker did not work, but after testing the mid-range and tweeter coils, it was a faulty design in the negative connection when screwing in the wire. Rather than return the speaker, and having done lots of audio work over the years, I spliced the other lead to the coil wire instead. You could even solder it. Either way it works and they sound great. If you want even better sound, then you can put a custom box with 2x10 inch down firing subwoofers for a vehicle like this. It's hard to get speakers that can capture lows in a small hole made only for 5x7/6x8. These infinity speakers have much more clean sound than the factory and better lows, but a box of subs help enhance the full infinity experience. If you want to retain the head unit, which for Ford F-150's with the 8 inch Ford My Touch, there are no replacement options at this time because of costs between $1,600-3,000, add a sound processor which will make a huge difference and use the head unit and speakers to their max potential capacity in amazing sound tailored anyway you want. The head unit just pushes output for sound only. Good speakers like these infinity in the rear doors, component infinity in the front, subs under the backseat, original head unit with a sound processor will beat any top of the line factory system out there!Read full review

So I bought the Kappa Perfect Component speakers.for the front. They are great. Reminder: I need to sound proof my doors on F150, these 6x8 (rear door)Infinity speakers rock. I wished I would have bought them for front and rear. I have a family that sit in the rear of my crew cab. Teenagers like as I do. At first I had just front components. I also have the Infinity 1000W sub on an Alpine amp. Wow! I love sound quality. I am 40. Yet the teenager comes out. Back to the subject. Pioneer 8604 pushing all Infinity speakers. It's loud. I'm thinking of ridding of the the components and putting the 6x8's up front and using the 6.5" mids in the rear. Just a thought. You won't be disappointed!!! I'm not. I would recommend these. Just set the gains. These are 2 ohms on a 4 ohm amp at 100watts per channel.Read full review

OMG when I saw these infinities first thing that caught my eye was that you could up the decibel level if your speakers were mounted at a lower door level or if you didn't need it say they were up higher you didn't have to have it on upon closer inspection I had my whole little 4 ohm mids and highs that's just what they are why ever question it World blown when I saw that these were two ohm mids and highs it's like somebody turn their brain on I figured it was like wasn't possible or something because it just makes sense you know more than buying an amp of like double the wattage to get the same amount of power to translate through your mids and highs but I think I saw a review there that said they were crappy or something so go buy some 4 or 8 ohm Mid/ Hi's if you want to have to get like a I don't know, ohhh Bout a 2000 AMP to budge em like mine sound with 680 watts 1/2 @ 1 & half on the other and spend a bank account just amplify them have 4 +ohm mids and highs and that's right keep owners pills out of the old wallet for double the wattage for your amplifier. BTW THESE WITH ONLY 340 WATTS EACH HAD TO SOUND RIGHT( compete compliment my two Solo-Baric L7 in a labyrinth ported box in a Crown Victoria trunk which if you've ever seen is kind of a step situation where there's a big square hole at the bottom and then the trunk areas kind of above that a whole huge Labyrinth ported box fits in that lower area so there's a lot of room there and with a 150 0. 1 kicker amp they shook the hood on the thing change would dance on my seat jumping up and down about 3 to 4" every time I would play certain songs for instance Kanye West/Jeezy 'Put On' 100 WaTt fuse would blow in about 10 to 15 seconds I ended up grabbing one of those one of those 180 amp flip if overload ( kind of no-brainer once things start) blowing circuit breaker deals and bottom line I tune them for complete clear as the sky without a cloud in it highs and just let the L7's pound because what mids are you going to hear anyway thoseLo's are going to annihilate any mid-range power you think you're going to Tune In and it's going to take away from Power you could be allocating to your highs it's not like a BOSE (NO HIS NO LOWS THO; JUST BOSE!!!) high-end stock stereo where you're going to feel that little pop on your leg from the door or whatever bottom line is at 90 miles an hour+ you can drop all the windows turn it up to almost capacity if it's tuned right and my stereo pounded and at the same time every word came through with crystal clear clarity that's it for me as far as mids and highs Search over. I don't know how they came up with it some guy at Infinity said why don't we ever do 2 ohm 3 way/coaxial speakers or something like that????( probably the dude no one ever listened to and that had never said a word before everyone probably looked up whether it was a US law that they had to be 4 ohm or something )LMAO... hey I always just assumed that's the way it was myself. Put it this way my guy that worked and had a degree in car audio installation and Design and installed JL all day then later had a job as the audio tech guy at a very famous Casino in South Florida when I told him about these that I ordered this was I guess sometime around 2012/13 or something was like you have to be mistaken man!" Even people that go to school for this stuff just always assumed because that's what they saw their whole life mids and highs were just that way for whatever reasonRead full review

Premium sound at affordable price. Nice lows and blends well to the midrange levels. Highs are a bit high for me but definitely clear. Sound is like being in a concert. Worth every dime!
