About this product

Product Information

Featuring a story overseen by John Milius, Homefront features a similar premise to the screenwriter's Red Dawn. Instead of U.S. occupation by Russia, however, America is taken over by a well-organized, well-funded North Korea in the year 2027. The single-player campaign has you controlling a member of the resistance movement and engaging in guerilla warfare across shopping malls, schools, and similar settings from a first-person perspective. Commandeer vehicles and futuristic drones to complete objectives, interacting with an assortment of colorful characters along the way, many of whom will fight alongside you. On-foot and vehicular combat are also supported in online multiplayer battles, which are designed to offer fast-paced action in the spirit of the Call of Duty series. Developer Kaos Studios' previous game was 2008's Frontlines: Fuel of War.

  • Poor AI, rushing around, unclear objectives. I give it a 7 out of 10.

Home Front is a next gen first person shooter. Instead of the game taking place on some far off planet or Made up world, it takes place in our own back yard. The good old USA. The graphics are above average, and the sound is good. It takes a pretty stout computer to run though (check the system requirements). I waited for this game for a long time for this game. THQ is a great company and I own several of their A list titles. I am a little disappointed though in the artificial intelligence. Let me give you an example. I am fighting in a large warehouse. I duck in to a side room and am peaking around a corner, when I see a grenade come from the other side of the warehouse and land right next to me and I am dead. I try a different tact. But the bad guys have perfect aim with the grenades ...

  • 8/10 - If You Enjoy Driving Vehicles and Shooting People, Get This Game.

Campaign - So bad that you can ignore it as part of the game. [-1 Star] Multipleyer - A perfect balacne between Call of Duty and Battlefiled. Fast paced actions with vehicles without waiting for them to respawn. The more aggressive you play the more battle points (Money) you get. Battle Commander System brings balance to players with higher and lower skills, in the way of showing the killstreaks holders with rank stars and rewards battle points for taking them down. Plus there are a lot new equipments that never appeared in other FPS games such as EMP grenade launcher, Attack Drones, Thermal Goggle, etc. [+4 Stars]

  • Homefront PC

Homefront’s enduring appeal is in its class-based multiplayer modes. It follows the trend of class-based team warfare and unlockable weaponry, but its remote-controlled drones and an in-match reward system, called Battle Points (which you spend to buy equipment and drones), give it a unique feel. The blend of fast showdowns and large, multi-tiered objective-based maps are appropriately chaotic, especially on a full 32-person server. The hefty feel and sound of the rifles makes headshots all the more satisfying, and the ability to pilot remote-controlled aerial rocket drones adds suspense, forcing me to look not just left and right before running between cover, but also up. I also like the way that the Battle Points system adds enough persistence to reward players having a good day without ...

  • totally dissapointed!!!!

i was expecting a lot more from this game.the campaign is so short!!!the graphics?hmmm...if you compare it to other similar games that came out the same year, its like playing in 2007.Original crysis made in 2007 is a better game,it beats homefront in every possible aspect.its not like i am a fan of crysis, its just 2010 guys!you are being guided by the computer for the whole game.there is no open world,it does not let you move freely.anyway i am selling my game now,the only good thing about this game is art cover of the box.Thank you
