It's such a pity that the twentieth century doesn't exist as far as this book goes. It's undoubtedly great for 18th and 19th century things, but many people are, like me, looking for a comparable book dedicated to the last 100 years. Please mention the fact that there is nothing from the 20th century in adverts.

not found the answers i was looking for in this book, however it is a most useful reference book to have at hand.
I bought this book to keep in my bag, as it is a handbook it is light enough to carry around and use as reference. If anyone wants a more comprehensive book then they need the Encyclopaedia of British pottery and porcelain marks written by the same author, a handbook can not expect to contain every potteries marks. I think this book is very good for its size.
i bought this item to further my knowledge of british pottery marks, only to find it did not contain any of the north east potteries, mainly "maling" so i rather feel the book is in it self not a truely representive of british pottery marks
