"Metroid: Other M" was definetely a risk for Nintendo - bringing in another developer ("Team Ninja" of Tecmo, the people behind the highly-successful "Ninja Gaiden" series), adding more of a story narrative and giving us a look back at Samus Aran's past. Fortunately for Nintendo and gamers alike - it worked!! "Metroid: Other M" is a fun adventure of battling and item-hunting, filled with plot twists (although some of them rather predictable for longtime Metroid fans), huge bosses and amazing landscapes. There's an interesting new feature added - the ability to switch between first-person and third-person perspective. While the majority of the game is played third-person (a first for a 3D Metroid game), by turning the Wii Remote to the TV the player will switch to a first-person view (similiar to the "Metroid Prime" trilogy of games) for more accurate targeting and looking around. "Metroid: Other M" is a blast from start to finish!! Completists will have to make sure to collect all of the hidden items and unlock all the bonus features, including a concept gallery of over 100 images and "Metroid: Other M - The Movie" - all of the cutscenes of the game, edited together into a movie, with some pre-recorded game footage inserted here and there. Highly Recommended!!Read full review

This game is simply so amazing. After playing the 3 Prime games this one is exactly what I need. From the music to the game play, this product shines with a bright light. Controls and graphics are not bad at all, I love it all.
Not as good as the prime series but it was still good fun to play. The game is packed full of cinematic experiences and in depth story telling. I would recommend it (:
Personally this is my favourite of the metroid series. Having played almost all metroids, other m really is a nice balance between the 2D and 3D formats we are used to seeing in previous games. The fly-on-the-wall view allows you to enjoy the best of samus and her abilities as you take down enemies and solve puzzles. Great game!
