Activision Classics takes 30 of the more popular Atari 2600 games and puts them onto one PlayStation CD. Atari 2600 was one of the first major console systems available to the mainstream market. Coming out in the early '80s, it set a new standard for modern day gaming.<br><br>There are several types of games included on this disc. For instance, in Kaboom!, you will need to stop a mad bomber by moving a little line across the screen to catch his bombs, trying not to let any bombs get past you or the game is over. Keystone Kapers is a side-scrolling action game where you are a cop trying to stop bank robbers by chasing them through various buildings until you catch them and collect the stolen cash.<br> <br>Perhaps the most classic game on the Atari 2600 is Pitfall!, one of the first and most influential platform games to ever to be released. Swing from vines, jump on alligator heads, and avoid quicksand and tar pits while trying to collect jewels and other prizes.<br><br>PlayStation emulates the Atari 2600 and shows the graphics in their original form. Activision Classics is for anyone who wants to take a trip down memory lane or see what inspired how videogames would be played forever.

Adhesive residue on the front of the case and some minor damage to the rear were not mentioned, but zooming in on the pictures they are visible. Partially my own fault for not scrutinizing more closely. Good seller, but it would be nice if they'd point out flaws in the listing. Otherwise, no issues.

    Like the good ol' days!

    Most of these games are challenging and just plain fun. My favorite game is Spider Fighter because of the shooting action and fast pace. Laserblast probably activates more memories over all the others, it's fast paced and I love the awesome lightning bolt the flying saucer shoots out. The only problem with Laserblast is the fact it becomes easy to master, zapping silo after silo in order, so this is a tip : aim for the middle silo first and the game will become very challenging, even in Cadet Level! I also love how Activision added authenticity to this collection, you can switch between color and black & white. This option was available in the early 80's because many families had B&W sets around, as I did.You even see a line run up briefly when you quit games, just like when I used to turn ...

    Great replacement disc! Love these games!

    I moved a while back and was saddened to find the case for this game but not the disc! I really enjoyed playing the Atari games as a kid (the system belonged to my dad, not me) and was excited that Playstation came out with it's own version! I was so happy to find the disc at such a good price on Ebay! It came quickly and works great! Thank you!

    Just like the old days

    I bought the game and it is great. There are 30 Activision games on the disk and they are exactly the same games I remember form when I was a kid in the 80's. It was just like the old days. Its been fun to play those old games again.
