      Easy build

Two of the same versions in a box. A relatively quick and simple to build C version of the 251 series half-track. The instructions are adequate. Takes paint and glue very well. There are no decals. It is a tiny fraction smaller than the Plastic Soldier Company equivalent but still matches in well with them and the other Esci/Italeri/Armourfast versions of the C model. As with most modern 'quick build' vehicles the tracks and road wheels come as a single piece which speeds up and simplifies the process. Careful use of the glue allows the 75mm main gun to elevate and depress which is a nice bonus feature not often present in other quick builds of this scale. Don't be mislead by the box art. There is a socket for the aerial but no aerial, neither are there any side mirrors, but it's not a big ...

      It's a bit basic

I'd advise going for maybe a Zvezda kit. I bought Armourfast to try them out and see what the quality was like - Ouchies. While the detail isn't that bad, overall it just has that "cheap" feel to it. I'm not sure how old this kit is, but I bought it to be used, destroyed in a diorama, so it's lack of details won't effect me too much, but I'll be looking at zvezda next time for 1/72nd scale

    • Somewhat unsatisfactory Jagdpanther

Simple but brutally basic wargames kit . ALL of the Armourfast kits have unconvincing, crappy track and wheel parts and this is no exception. Construction is extremely simple but details are minimal or entirely absent . Good enough for the wargamer with low standards or as a first armour kit for a child , otherwise look elsewhere.

    • Great Armourfast Cromwell.

Armourfast's Cromwell makes in to a really nice model if you do not take into account that it has little detail. Easy to assemble with little amounts of glue and suitably enhanced with a little green paint. I used the Airfix model of the same thing to supply me with decals. I also fitted mine out with an Armourfast extra detail kit and it has transformed it into a really super little model. Well pleased.

    • More smart moulding from Armourfast

Armourfast never disappoint - as quick-build WW2 AFVs go, this is another example of their proficiency in this matter. Nicely moulded, great details, goes together like a dream. Full marks
