The Citizen CB0020-50E model has a stainless steel case and bracelet. The solid-back case has a 43-millimeter diameter and is 11 millimeters thick. The bracelet is 23 millimeters wide and is made with five links. The three half-links allow for adjustments that give you a precise, comfortable fit. The strap fastens with a fold-over clasp that conceals a double push-button closure.The analog dial on this Citizen watch is black with a textured center for a stylish touch. The silver-tone minute and hour hands are luminescent, and luminescent bar markers are applied to the face to indicate the hours. A razor-thin second hand in the shape of a rapier hits every marker perfectly for exact timekeeping. The face is protected by a non-reflecting, scratch-resistant sapphire window. The hallmark of the World Perpetual A-T men’s watch is its ability to use atomic clocks around the world to maintain perfect synchronicity in all time zones. These clocks are located in the U.S., Europe, and Japan. Your Citizen A-T watch receives radio signals from the clocks to automatically update the time. The fixed bezel of the CB0020-50E has the names of 26 international cities, and you can set your watch to any of these regions. The setting automatically makes the daylight saving time adjustment, which is a great feature. You can also easily calculate the hour in another city by using the hour offsets printed around the rim of the dial. If you happen to find yourself in a place where you cannot pick up radio signals from the atomic clocks or you are in a region that does not make the change for daylight saving time, you can manually set your watch. The small window at the 4 o’clock position on the face lets you know if DST is on or off, and a window at 9 o’clock is part of the manual time sync function. These men’s watches also maintain an automatic perpetual calendar. The day of the month is shown in a small window at the 3 o’clock position on the face. It appears as white numbers on a black background. The Japanese quartz movement on these watches is powered by Citizen’s Eco-Drive technology. The Eco-Drive system uses natural or artificial light to store power in a cell located in the watch’s case. This stored power is then used to drive the functions on the watches for up to six months on a full charge. This Citizen World Perpetual watch for men is water-resistant up to 200 meters. A good, reliable watch that does what I bought it for.
This is a very large and rather complex watch that I bought for two purposes: travel, when automatic time setting is convenient (if not exactly necessary) and to act as a control reference for my other watches, which tend to wander a bit, especially since I am very active and hard on watches. I destroy a watch a year. As for style, it is Godzilla huge; way overstated. It does attract some attention but I prefer not being noticed. Like any too big, too thick watch, it catches on my sleeves. It does come with a comfortable bracelet, is easy to read at night (I prefer H3 for tactical uses), is Eco-Drive long lasting (the battery isn't going to die on me on a trip to Lower Sandistan), the capacitor is easily replaceable and it doesn't leak in the uses I put it to. I prefer something much smaller and understated like a Promaster Tough 'Aoraki' for daily (not working) wear or a stiletto tank for white tie. Since I break watches regularly I use a Citizen Eco-Drive Chandler BM8180-03E on an 18mm SS bracelet as a throw away. Fabulous Watch!
Fabulous watch. Looks good, comes in stainless or black. Well made: the bracelet is strong, and the crystal has stood up to regular use without scratches. Best: Eco-drive means you never need batteries, just wearing the watch in the light charges the internal battery. And, this watch adjusts to a government time signal each night. Even adjusts Daylight Savings Time. It's very interesting to have a watch that is accurate to the second all the time. Seriously! Keep the instruction booklet or get it from the web. Always accurate; never needs a battery
This is the best watch I have ever owned. This one is not cluttered with smaller dials that are too small for my old eyes to see. The only time adjustment needed is if traveling to other time zones; then it is the hour hand only.
