OEM quality, at least
I have used the original Metcal handpieces of this type for years. This refurbished one although having some new aluminum pieces seems so far to be functionally identical in every way. The tip fits into the housing and connector snugly as expected. The aluminum front end fits into the stand also as expected. Also heats up and works as expected. I am impressed with the refurbisher's skill and quite happy with my purchase.

Solid comfortable hand piece
Feels great and light. Solid upgrade over the MX-RM3E. Grips are replaceable and softer/more comfortable than the MX-RM3E. Not sure if I would pay extra for this handpiece over the MX-RM3E but I got mine for less than what the standard hand piece goes for.
