    Western movie

    I will admit my opinion is a little jaded, as this movie is based on the book my grandfather wrote. As an adult, I have been able to read the book AND watch the movie with fresh eyes. It is great at engaging the characters and follows through on the story line leaving no loose ends. On behalf of myself and my family, enjoy the movie!!!

    This is a cute and fun movie

    I saw part of it on TV. Now, I have watched twice! Robert Taylor is a happy single, carefree Beaver trapper. After a losing run in with some Shawnee braves, he winds up convalescing at the Cherne house. The only Daughter sets her eyes on him. Great cast, Robert Taylor is a handsome Devil,Eleanor Parker is adorable. An early appearance of James Arness. Is he really 7’ feet tall!?! Russ Tamblyn when he was a kid,and Victor McLaglen, and Alan Hale Jr. round out this cast. I am somewhat confused, as the beginning of the movie as the MGM lion roaring , but the case has the Warner Bro.s logo. Anyway, this is much better to watch then endless Disney Superhero comic book movies. The title song will get stuck in your head. :)
