BioWare's critically acclaimed action-RPG debuts on PS4 with a protagonist and setting in Mass Effect: Andromeda. The story of Andromeda begins between the second and third entries of the original Mass Effect trilogy, when each of the four Citadel Council races agree to send 20,000 people on a 600-year journey to help colonize planets in the Andromeda Galaxy. Gamers play as Sara Ryder or her twin brother Scott (both characters can be given customized first names and appearances) as they explore new planets, form relationships, and engage in real-time combat. Ryder can travel around the galaxy in a ship called Tempest while planetary exploration takes place in an all-terrain vehicle from which players can scan for resources. Dialogue between characters plays an important role in Andromeda, with gamers choosing from four response types and occasionally an action prompt, and conversations may contain moral decisions that affect Ryder's relationships, some of which may grow romantic. Unlike previous games in the series, players are not bound by specific character classes. As they complete missions they can level up and unlock dozens of combat, tech, and biotics skills, and more than 300 skill upgrades. Gamers will also eventually unlock seven different profiles that add more bonuses to their preferred method of playing, and they can switch between four different profiles at any time. Combat in Mass Effect: Andromeda was designed to be faster and more fluid than in previous titles, with a dynamic cover system and a jetpack that lets players hover in midair. Gamers can use guns, melee attacks, and special skills to attack foes, and they get help in battle from six squadmates, each with three active skills and two passive skills. Players can order their squad around the battlefield, choose how they want their skills to evolve, and they can also team up for special Power Combo attacks. Multiplayer fans can also join friends for co-op action. This Deluxe edition includes the full game as well as the Deep Space Explorer armor, a skin for the all-terrain vehicle, the Pathfinder casual outfit, Scavenger armor, a set of four unique weapons, a pet Pyjak, a multiplayer booster pack, the multiplayer deluxe launch pack, and a digital soundtrack.

    A great sequel to the original Mass Effect series!

    I don't know what's all the fuss about saying that this game sucks!? No this game is just as great as Mass Effect 1-2-3! So before you trash it play it first! I've just started trying it out and I like it! The controls can take some time getting used to it, but eventually you'll get the hang of it, also remember that this was first on Xbox360 before PS3-PS4! B++++

    Buy Online a get a better deal

    This game is nice and all the gameplay is great but if you are looking for the Deluxe Dlc it isn't here and there are deals now on the Playstation network for the game plus the Deluxe edition that are better than this sorry to say. Other than that game works fine but the deal is a bit overpriced.

    Must play!

    Don't believe everything you have hear/read. This game is very well done. There is no such thing as a perfect game. All games have some minor glitches. This game has very few. If you seek the negative you will find it. If you really look at each scene, you will notice a lot of attention to detail. The story is compelling and keeps you engaged as long as you don't get too side tracked with all of the filler mission. There is soo much to see and do on each planet you land on. The game mechanics are excellent and you can easily customize the gameplay to fit your play style. I highly recommend trying this game for yourself and form your own opinion. Have fun,...I am. :)

    Mass Effect: Andromeda was worth waiting for.

    It was clever set the departure of the arks before what happened in the last games. This way they don't have to deal with any of that. The graphics are a step or two ahead of me3. The gameplay is what I expected (good thing). The game widely varied in scope, so you can tailor what you do depending on how you feel at the moment. The game is full of mysteries and I'm looking forward to solving them all.

    Mass Effect Andromeda is a killer game!

    I really love his game. It has some great puzzles to figure out in order to advance your game. It has me on the edge of my seat at times. It's one of my favorite games in my collection of 200 games.
