    Coffee Cornacopia

    I was tired of brewing pot after pot of coffee when we had 20 or more friends over for a party. Using a thermos or air pot was good for extra coffee but it didn't taste fresh brewed and I still had to brew 5 or 6 pots to make enough. The answer is this amazing machine from yesteryear. In my parents and grandparents day we didn't have drip pots or single service brewers. Everyone had electric percolators. These coffee makers bubbles and spat coffee back through the grounds until you had a rich tasty pot of coffee. This is just a large version of those 8 to 12 cup percolators. It can brew up to a hundred cups of coffee and keep it hot and tasty for a couple of hours. it is under heat so eventually it will become bitter but even if I use this and then transfer it to air pots after the first ...

    Perfect!

    Heats contents quickly. Started with 100 cups cold tap water, got the lot piping hot in an hour and 15 minutes. I'm not a coffee drinker, and the manual specifies to use the urn only for brewing coffee and heating water, but it worked great for hot chocolate. Not sure what--if any--damage or shortened life will result from straying from that guideline, but it worked when I needed it. Disassembles easily for cleaning. No leaks or drips anywhere. Would buy this again in a heartbeat!
