    Title tells what you are buying.

    Fairly entertaining. Surprised that Cassidy's horse is never named even though he is beautifully tacked out & trained. It is also interesting to see how the anti-Christian agenda was being promoted in this decades ago series. A church was referred to as just 'this building', only 1-2 times as a church, let alone as a place to worship God. But the horses are pretty.

    Just 20 minute cuts of the hour shows

    These are highly condensed versions with lots cut out of the original episodes. For instance, Devil's Playground was originally 65 minutes and here is cut to just 20 minutes. William Boyd does narrate to fill in some of the missing pieces. I find it confusing to follow the plot with so much cut out. Especially after comparing it to the same movie playing on the Silver Screen Classics TV channel which charmed me just a week before. So the full length versions still exist. But not on this DVD. Back to eBay. Otherwise, the black and white movie is clear and the audio is fine. Hoppy is just as corny but can ride a horse very well as I remember. Episodes are all shot outdoors in California's Eastern Sierras in beautiful rock formations and mountain valley scenery.

    Yesteryear Westerns

    Wm. Boyd bought the rights to all the 66 Hopalong one hour movies and them cut them down to 30 minutes for his tv show. This required him to fill in the blanks with narration. If you like westerns from yesteryear they are worth watching. Also, Topper is a very beautiful horse, and worth watching too.
