    Good for up to 10 uses

    I've never had much issues with X-10 switches, but the outlets are horrible. I used these to control a Fiberstar light long enough for the house to close escrow for the seller. The outlet that controlled the color wheel went out within the first 3 times of turning it off and on. Once I felt it would last for the final walk through, I was called out for a complete replacement of both. Upon close of escrow, I got the light to work, but it took 2 to get the color wheel to work again. A week later the buyer called because both quit working. Sorry, warranty doesn't pass when a home sells. Arizona state law. Once I explained the constant issue with these switches, the buyer was fine with me drilling 2 holes and using toggle switches. Never again will I replace X-10 outlets. If someone ...

    Works just fine!

    Awesome switch if you need anything outside controlled from your x10. I use it to control an electrified garden fence that switches on/off from my alarm system.

    Product is a hit or miss.

    This product has a propensity for breaking a key plastic internal part and then not functioning. It will stay stuck in the on position and not cycle to off. Out of three units two broke in the same fashion. The part in question should be made of metal and not fragile plastic.

    A great improvement over the "old" ones

    I had an "old" socket that looked exactly like this one--but internally it apparently is quite different. The old one would turn right back on when there was a low load (like an LED snowman!). This one solved the problem--it is a great socket that does exactly what an X-10 socket should do--it stays off when you've asked it to; it turns on when you've asked it to. That's how it should work!
