Decades old UK travel guide for motoring days out
This is an inspiration for planning days out in the car. It is an old book from decades past, so the maps aren't up to date, entry times and prices have changed and some views and road layouts have changed through development and bypasses. Surely the internet is better? Or how about an up to date travel guide? But it was beautifully bound and printed, covers most of the kingdom with a travel option and still makes a great starting point for planning a weekend drive. It sold well - meaning that it is often for sale on eBay or in Charity Shops. My suggestion is to use this to choose a basic route and then update your choice from the WWW. Together its a good combination. On its own - it is a more a miss than a hit!
