So glad I purchased this set. I didn't even know that they made sleeves for the DISH remotes until now. Way cheaper to purchase on ebay vs on dish networks site too. These are the best remotes out there in my opinion. Easy to use, comfortable to hold & it's easy to program all your other devices too also.

Correction: they arrived but are just old remotes. No instructions or new stickers; just old remotes. One was showing little wear, but the other was beat up and heavily scratched and dented. They didn't even bother taking the original owners' stickers off but in the end: they both worked. If you're just looking for cheap but serviceable, these might be right for you, but don't expect to get away without some good 'ol fashioned cleaning.

As is all too common in today's quickly upgraded tech world, new is not really better, just different. The Hopper3 remote is not an legitimate advance in design nor usability. The Dish 40.0 remote is much more ergonomic and has more direct access buttons... and does not make annoying clicks when the buttons are pressed. Thankfully Dish was wise enough to make the new Hopper3 fully compatible with the 40.0 remote. Both remotes are effective but the older version remotes have a better weight, tactile feel and non-sight ease of use than the new Hopper3 remote. The new remote was easy to learn but lacks direct control in areas that long-time Dish users have become accustomed to. Hopefully Dish will continue to support the 40.0 remotes as future upgrades roll in or maybe even offer a similar upgraded remote in the future.Read full review

Got the new Hopper, with a new controller. The new controller was difficult to use, requiring multiple button pushes to do even the simple things. The 40.0 2G UHF works well with the new Hopper, plus it is the one I am used to. The remote arrived quickly and functioned perfectly.
