Light duty soldering iron works fine but lacks power for sustained soldering applications.
This is a very nicely made soldering iron and the price is hard to beat. The only issue I have is that it is very slow to heat and will not maintain enough heat to solder standard hobby sized wires. It gets hot, but looses its heat quickly when used with my Rc drone/car applications soldering on battery leads And connectors. This will work great for work with soldering wires to boards and smaller servo type wires but the iron lacks the power to keep the tip hot with my normal applications.This is a very nicely made soldering iron and the price is hard to beat. Unsafe, not UL approved
While the shipping was quick and free, the quality of the iron is questionable at best. I needed it to take on a single wire so it was fine, but I would never use this as a hobbyist, as the cord is flimsy and the plug will not stay in a socket. This is NOT UL approved and would be considered as unsafe.

These things are junk
It smoked like hell the first time I turned it on, i wrote that off however it then never got warm enough. It would melt new solder but wouldnt phase a current connection made prior. My weller, rated at 40w put this thing to shame. Never again, lesson learned, unfortunately for me, I am stupid enough to believe a deal exists.

Things garbage
Smoked like a hippie from Colorado for ten minutes, then the wires pulled out of the junk pile when it fell off the table while it was still plugged in. So i took it apart to fix it and ugh... just spend ten more bucks and get a better one that you can use more than once.
