On the earpiece use a diagonal cutter to (gently!) break the plastic just beneath the pin head and the pin will come out easily (it only grabs under that spot). Then insert this part and replace & seat the pin in with a narrow pliers (maybe even with some padding to minimize making any marks on the plastic opposite the pin head).
