These legacy computers have become valuable due to RS232 connectivity (connects to digitally/industrial controlled machinery etc.) In my case it runs legacy software/diagnostics for an older Range Rover; a machine of sorts, but it has a BOLD-heart. I suspect it was a driver that was missing but did not want to mess with it myself and cause any malfunctions. The return was painless and cost free for me.
