The new magic jack go works well easy to use. The value should be very good time will tell. I had internet phone service before this sound quality seems to be as good. Only problem I had was unable to set it up over web site I didn't understand what I was doing wrong so I called customer services big mistake. Very difficult to understand person on the other side. A lot of wasted time on hold a lot, this should of been a simple process that took an hour an a half. And if you keep your same phone number it took another 6 to 8 days for the turn around for this an another $20.00 in cost. And for the 911 service if you wish to keep it a cost of around $10.00 a year. That was o.k. but I didn't know this up front, I don't remember reading about these fees before I bought it. But it has worked well so fare. One thing I haven't tried yet is sending a fax over it so it will be interesting to see if it works?Read full review

I am using this magicjack through my computer and find that it often works but is not reliable. Sometimes it won't call a number, sometimes it calls but does not transmit my voice. I previously had a magicjack connected directly through my wired ethernet and it worked great. Using this new one through a computer it does not work nearly as well.

Was paying $65 a month for landline, No more! Canceled my landline as this works fantastic. Changed my own voice mail message from the one that came with it, plus it has other cool features that I’ll use like voice mail is emailed to me so I can check via my cell phone. Everyone who calls says I sound clear and better than landline. I do think if your internet speed is week it may cause interference but so far that has not been an issue for me.

Overall the unit is easy to install and it works fine (you need to have fast internet connection, though). The only thing that bother is a trick with mandatory signing for 911 service during the registration, which is not free. They just do not give you any option to avoid it and they saying that you cannot cancel it once you signed for it. So if you have a land line phone and the MagicJack one, you will pay double for the same service. That's a bummer and that's why I give 4 stars to it.

I do not spend much time on the phone however I do need an active voice line at home. This solved the problem at minimal cost. I do spend a lot of time on the internet so I already have reliable internet service. I paired this device along with a pair of Uniden wireless phones and a used Samsung Galaxy S3 cell phone that uses the FreedomPop 'Free' cell phone service. The S3 has MagicJack Voip and Text application loaded on it. The S3 is also set up to use my home WiFi network so that I have minimal data usage on the FreedomPop network. That gives home phone and cell service with unlimited voice and texts on the same phone number for $35/year --- just can not beat the cost savings. I have been told by several people that the audio quality is excellent (note: one person did note that audio sometimes broke up). For my part I can not detect any difference in the audio quality from any other service.Read full review
