I was told about this a few months ago but only now got to play it(yes I've been living under a rock). I only have a PS3( I'm broke) so I wasn't able to buy it in the stores, so in here I bought it. When it arrived a friend of mine and I started to play it, because that's a thing we do. It might be 2018, but I really really love this whole game, yes the graphics are from a few years ago but I can live with that because it not aweful, and I still really love the whole story. I am probably gonna play the whole thing again when I get time- since it's a game that takes almost every action and makes a whole new route (which I LOVE) of stuff for you. I have no idea if any of this makes sense, BUT, if you are broke and still have a PS3 and you want heavy rain, then yes, this is totally worth it if you love dark storylines and games.Read full review

I bought this product because I like games to make me use my brain and reactions rather than beat/shoot-'em-ups. I also required a game that i could go back to again and again after completion and so Heavy Rain was perfect for me because it allowed so many variations to the story. The story was very well written and gripping and the characters believable. My partner who doesnn't play games himself found that this was a game and story he was happy to watch me play and for him felt like he was "watching a movie" (in fact, at one point he was suggesting what I should do when a decision or action was requested of me). I particularly liked the idea that every decision I made affected the game, story and characters, sometimes in a way that I really didn't want to happen. I felt as though I cared about the characters in this game more than any other game I have played to date (a fair few!) which is down to the fact that the player actually gets to interact with the characters, shaping their stories, right down to whether they turn the lights on when they enter a room, go to the toilet before or after their shower, even a love scene (which felt very awkward for me at the time because I really felt as though I was watching a couple I know undressing each other.... and *I* was in control. Luckily, I didn't manage to mess things up for them ... much!) I would recommend this game to anyone who isn't very confident playing computer games as the difficulty rating is based on how familiar the user is with the controls rather than how tough gameplay is, thus allowing an enjoyable experience for regular and inexperienced gameplayers alike. I also like the fact that the game has several endings, again related to how well one does in tasks and what decisions one makes on each characters behalf. For me, this game has blasted all other gaming experiences I've had so far out of the water that I'm almost disappointed because I feel that this is a one of a kind type of game that will be very difficult to match.Read full review
My Husband wanted this game for Christmas (he loves adventure games) and he said "we can play this together", I wasn't that interested. Over Christmas we played it and after an hour I was hooked, it was like playing a movie, a REALLY good movie and when we completed it we decided to play it through again (as choices you make affect the ending and it can be a slightly different story). He has tried to get me into adventure games before and I've only liked a couple, but this is the best one I've ever played , I know you can't really compare this to Monkey Island or Grey Matter etc, but Heavy Rain is still an adventure game and it's really good and addictive, i'd recommend it to anyone.
I am a movie buff, and a gaming addict. For someone like me, mixing the two is just explosive! The game has a very nice gripping narrative which will hold the player rooted to the seat for hours at a stretch, though I do feel it is a bit short; but that was probably because I finished the game so fast being too engrossed in it. I bought the normal version of the game, and right after putting the disk in I was given an option to download an update, after which the game became move compatible! Though I don't have the PS Move right now, I would not think twice of playing the game again with the controllers just to play with the controls. There is a lot of hardwork involved to unlock the trophies, though most of them must be pretty simple to achieve on the first run. All in all, I found the game very entertaining and satisfactory, though there were some bad review comments for the game.Read full review
A very addictive game, you play four parts each person with a different story to tell which they all eventually link up in one way or another. This game also has excellent replay value because of the many different ways to play the game based on decisions you make and also it has around 12-14 different endings which sums it up as one of the PS3's all time greats.
