Although he only had two reals "Hits" Jagger and Richard's "Out of Time",and it's follow up "Ride on Baby" Farlowe has never enjoyed the popularity his remarkable voice deserves. This 2 CD Set is from his time at Andrew Loog Oldham's "Immediate" label and pretty well clears up everything he recorded for them. Apart from the two hits previously mentioned versions of "In the midnight Hour","Handbags and Gladrags",and "Life is but Nothing" are particually fine. After this he went on to retire completely from the music business, and then made a return in the Eighties as a Blues singer which clearly suits his voice. He seems to release a new CD about once a year mainly on European labels(He is still very popular in Germany)which are well worth inestigating.
