Not wanting to hook up an ice maker we decided to use the old fashioned trays and purified water to make ice. These work quite well and are perfect for what we wanted

I was pleasantly surprised to find that these ice cube trays were flexible and easy to use. At first I wasn't sure if I liked the angled, narrow cube space design, but I soon discovered that this was done specifically to help make it easier to both fill the trays with fresh water and to pop out the cubes when done---right now I don't even need to run water over the backside, they just pop right out with a little twist! But that may change over time as the trays get older. I'm still going to keep my habit of running the water over the back as a best practice. The other thing I noticed is that the more narrow cube design not only assists in cube removal, but there are more cube spaces and thus more sides that will touch your beverage and cool it faster. If you use a lot of ice you may find yourself having to fill them more often, but I think their design probably makes them freeze faster, too, so I have no complaints. I loved my old plastic ice trays (unknown brand) until they cracked after many years, but I now realize their design was a bit outdated. Rubbermaid is a good, durable brand with smart designs. This product was very affordable and I highly recommend it. UPDATE 7/31/2020: These ice cube trays ended up cracking after several months, with the water leaking out into the freezer. They are not made to last. I cannot really recommend them anymore. Read full review

I am old enough to remember needing to fill the ice trays. All the cheap ones never released the ice while it was very cold and dry. Rubbermaid ones were my favorite in the freezer. They don’t crack and split. These seem thinner and cheaply made, however I am yet to have any trouble with them. After a good trial, I ordered more. Cheaper than fixing my ice maker, again. Buy them

shape of compartments contribute to ease of release of cubes. also, curved compartments mean no cracking in tray compartments as I've experienced with other trays.

Good quality trap for making ice cubes. Nice bright color. The material is a little thinner than other trays I have purchased before, but seem to be holding up to the freezing and twisting that goes with it. Would definitely purchase again.

This is not the heavy duty USA made Rubbermaid that I am used to. This one is French. When they say stackable they mean when empty and they fit insid each other for storage. These do not stack as well as the sterdy made ones that I have used in the past. Avoid the cheap knock off and look for the heaver duty ones. These heavery ones will stack well when filled with water. They will not fall into oneself.

My icemaker went out so I bought 8 of these. They seem to freeze fast and I like the shape and size.

Trays were just the right size - I place the cubes in my ice dispenser since the ice maker is broken. Love it!

Seem very well built, price was very reasonable, and the cubes are the perfect size and fit into wide mouth bottles easily. The trays twist very easily no matter how full the cubes are and they dump out without leaving much, if any small chips stuck to the sides and bottom.
