This is my only negative feedback in 20 years of buying on eBay. Firstly, the photo shown in the listing is the wrong item, it's a completely different model, so very misleading. Even after pointing this out, the ad remains unchanged. Secondly, the product was poorly packed resulting in damage to the item's box, not impressed as it was a for birthday gift. Thirdly, ineffective and slow to respond communication from the seller. The only positive for this transaction was the fast delivery.

The item was as advertised. Best to always use delivery company that can knock on the door and allow the home owner to accept the package. Just dumping the package on the door step and leaving isn't good business, especially now that the world has so many thieves stelling packages. Maybe use Australia post instead.

Limitations of a quality Mandoline
The protrusions on the the hand guard are rather long causing potential food wastage or temptation not to use the guard. I use the hand guard from another product. The protrusions allow for a closer shave so it is much more effective, while still guarding my hand. It is difficult to set the desired thickness reliably. It's guess work. There are no markings to indicate thickness. The Mandoline is made from quality plastic and does a great job cutting even slices. But the limitations mentioned above mean I am still looking for a Mandoline with an effective hand guard that has a reliable indicator for thickness.The protrusions on the the hand guard are rather long causing potential food wastage or temptation not to use the guard.
