My first impression was that the T2 was sharper than my C/Y Zeiss 1.7 50mm. The 50mm has the precision of an architect's plan, whereas the T2 is more like a Picasso drawing. Having compared the 2 lenses closely I now think the 50mm is sharper. However, when viewed normally, the T2 photos are more striking and more attractive. The camera has a lovely solid feel. I'd would be reluctant to buy a T2 without the excellent Contax case. One of the great things about secondhand Contax gear is that it was often bought by wealthy people with only limited interest in photography, so much of it is in mint condition. This paragraph is about some of the negative aspects of the T2 for people who are used to an SLR. They don't bother me at all, and I doubt that they'll bother you. You've just got to accept that there is a trade-off for the P&S convenience and adjust you're technique: There is a 1/2 sec exposure time lag. Programme Mode tends to select a speed of around 1/350sec. Consequently wide apertures are favoured, leading to shallow DOF and slight edge softness. Aperture Mode will not shoot faster than 1/200 sec. Please don't base you're opinion of the T2 on these shortcomings. It's a wonderful camera, and great fun to use.Read full review
I tried Olympus XA3, Olympus Mju II, Yashica T4, but this is different!!! It feels strong, long lasting, and precious, with her grey titanium body. Very clear pictures, no vignetting, easy to use. A must have camera!
