Granddaughter slammed my Brabantia lid a little too hard causing one of the legs on the catch to crack, had been after eight years use mind you. This resulted in obnoxious odours emanating from said bin into the kitchen area as lid would not close. Found this seller on eBay, rapid despatch, reasonably priced good service all round. New catch fitted within minutes and thankfully lid can now be closed, so thank you very much and keep up the good work.

    Economic fix for a worn latch

    I thought I was going to have to spend £25 on a new lid for my Brabantia stainless steel kitchen bin when the latch broke, after some years of use. Fortunately, these replacement latches were available at a fraction of the price of a new lid, and were easily fitted in minutes, and work perfectly. Thank you.

    Good product but needs to be adapted to fit (my) Brabantia.

    The kit needed to be adapted to work on my Brabantia bin. The default position of the female lock was too far away from the male "hook". So initially it did not work. I had to find a way to force the lock forward to get closer to the hook. Eventually found a spacer (an old nut!) which did the job!

    Almost great

    My own spring catch failed after 10 years so eBay to the rescue, nice and quick. Whilst waiting I found my lid had cracked across the hinge and wouldn't align anymore so needed a drastic repair. New catch fitted and it all works well again. Now my striker has never snapped so didn't need this part but that's a good job because when the catch is fitted into the lid the striker isn't long enough to press in enough to engage. In fairness I only needed the spring catch not the striker but be aware of this.

    Excellent purchase

    I cannot confirm longevity, having only installed this replacement catch last week, but so far so good. Extremely easy to take out the old, original Brabantia catch (I used some tweezers to ease the part out) and replace with this compatible version. Cannot tell the difference. Lid now works perfectly again. Very pleased, thank you.

    Bin clip.

    I have my bin about 20 years and when the clip broke I was ragen so I found one on ebay and said il give it a try it was so easy to replace poked the other one out and pushed the new one in and my bin is like new again it was really that easy.
