Smooth Cut
I just purchased this Dado set after owning a cheap Xbrand Dado set and I noticed a real difference in quality with this Oshlun set. My first impression opening the box was that the blades were heavy, well made and sharp. I installed two blades and a chipper for a 3/8" dado and made some dados into some hard Red Balou lumber. The dados were clean with a smooth bottom. My cheap dado set I upgraded from left an uneven grooved bottom which was not acceptable for fine woodworking such as jewelry boxed and crafted projects. I was never able to get everything perfect. Now I can and I feel the extra investment is worth the headaches and waste it will save me. I haven't tried any of the other high end dado sets, but this one suites my needs and works on my fairly inexpensive Rigid table saw. I have bought a number of dado blade sets over the years , some worked ok and others werent worth using , I was skeptical about this set when I saw it but I thought I would try it and I am sure glad I did it works GREAT and very accurate and smooth and square. I put my other dado sets back in the cabinet for back-up . This is now my go to Dado Set. Great set for my 1969 10" Delta unisaw.
Great stack dado fits on my arbor 5/8 nicely on slop cuts smooth. The 6" is what I chose big enough for any depth I need comes with a large pack of shims clearly marked will not rub or fade laser marked, well packaged nice set.

Great buy
Excellent for beginners and small table saws; I have a Ridgid R4517 and there isn’t a zero clearance throat plate for it so the left blade hits the stock throat plate by maybe a 1/16” but nothing that a grinder or rotary tool cutting disc couldn’t fix. The Oshlun was an excellent choice
