As I didn't know which one was faulty, I bought both again. One thing I find not so good is accuracy. I have several other thermometers and they are all accurate to show the exact same temperature on all, or difference to 0.1 deg. Humidity is spot on. The new main unit temperature varies between 0.5 to almost 1 deg higher. You'd expect it to be accurate being the same product.
