I like the balm better as it is the thicker version of the Avene XereCalm AD products. I therefore, find it to be more effective and longer lasting for dry and itchy skin. I chose to buy from a seller (with good ratings) who was selling a product with a little bit missing, so I could try it (for far less). This made it a better bargain, IMO. Really helped my skin
This winter has been bad on my skin. It was very itchy, and I had hives. Did some research on the internet and came across Avene products, which are recommended by dermatologists. So, I decided to start using the Avene soap and also the lipid replenishing balm. What a difference this has made on my skin. No more itching, hives or dry skin. I have found that if you use this balm, apply it to semi-wet skin. It is a lot easier to spread this way.This winter has been bad on my skin. It was very itchy, and I had hives. Excellent, easy to use lotion.
Excellent skin care product that I have only used on my body, not face. The tube has a pump to access the lotion so that it stays sterile; not significant in my case. No odor and absorbs quickly. I buy it on repeat. I use it primarily on my legs to avoid eczema and bumps.
