A great watch
The G Shock GWF-1000 Frogman is a great watch. It looks even better in hand than it does in pictures online. I am drawn to dive watches and the Frogman case and strap have the dive watch look. The watch has some heft thanks to the stainless steel case and case back and you can see and feel the quality. I find it very comfortable on my 8.25 inch wrist. I am not a diver and will never use it for its intended purpose as a diver’s watch but, I appreciate that it meets ISO 6425. The watch arrived with a fully charged Tough Solar battery and it syncs every night with the atomic clock. I have wanted the GWF-1000 since I started collecting watches. The Casio Frogman GWF1000-1JF is a great watch and it wears nicely all day.
This was my first Casio watch. I knew that the Frogman was highly regarded as a very capable and reliable watch in and out of the ocean. It has a good weight and feel to it for a watch that is mostly made of light weight resin. The weight of the Frogman comes from it's stainless steel core that also adds to its durability. I am always drawn to divers watches and I figured if I'm going to try a Casio watch I should start with one of their best dive watches. So far it looks and feels very nice. I have not had a chance to put it through it's paces yet, but I hope to do that soon. Oh, by the way this is a very large watch, I have about an 8.5 inch wrist and it still has a few more notches left on the strap. It does wear nicely for a very large watch. Buy it, you won't regret it
Having wanted a Casio frogman for a while, but not wanting to pay the silly prices of the modern analogue ones, I decided to by this older digital one. Has the same sort of styling of the newer models, but has a digital display, making reading the time quicker.
