Got the sew in version and it was a bit trickier than I was planning on (unpick old pocket, plus waist stitching plus the colour liner) for a first time user, but all turned out well in the end. Next time though I think I will get the iron in version - pretty sure the new pocket will last longer than the pants.

Thanks for sharing this useful info. I think the sew-in version will definitely last longer than the iron-in version even though it's more trouble to insert. I have had occasional reports of the iron-in one coming out in the wash. It's longevity probably depends a lot on both type of fabric and iron temperature.
