Nice device for basic stuff. A loyal personal assistant
Pros: If you are looking for an electronic personal assistant, this is the device that you are looking for. It helps you keep track of your future tasks and calendars, it syncs greatly with Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. It comes with a great program called Nevo that it allows you to use the the IR (infrared) to control your TV (LCD HD, etc.), DVD player, Cable provider device, projectors, and pretty much anything that has a IR (if you have the code to connect it too). It has Bluetooth and WIFI capabilities. This great device allows you to transfer files through IR, Bluetooth, its own sync Cable and through WIFI. Also you can listen to mp3, look at pictures and watch videos (you may have to convert them to a smaller file, a lot of software allow you to do that). If you have the proper ... If you have the proper software you can also read PDF's, and pretty much any other ebook out there. It has a slot for a SD card, so you can add more space to store info. It has the ability to play some games (made for WM2003 PPC). You can find emulators for NES games, and perhaps for other systems. There's many more functions and things you can do, but that will rest in your research capabilities. Cons: It uses an old PPC operting system, Windows Mobile 2003 (having in mind that modern ppc's or pda's use WM5, WM6 or 7), which we know is hard to find a lot of support for this, but there is some stuff you just have to surf aroud the Web. Having in mind that this is not a new PPC in the market, its hardware is kind of outdated (slower processor and RAM capabilities compared to modern PPC's). When some programs are run and then shutdown, you will have to go into a program called iTask (is like task manager in Windows) to shut them down completly out of memory (RAM), because otherwise they will remain running in the background clogging your system if you run other programs thinking the ones before were closed. This system will never shutdown, it will only go to sleep, therefore if a lot time has been since the last time you used it, chances are that both batteries of the system are depleted (it has two batteries one is an internal battery -NIMH-, and the other one is the regular battery -Lithium- that you are used to see in other PDA's, phones, etc...). Therefore if both of this batteries are depleted your chances of loosing programs and data are high, unless you have installed them in the SD card.It has Pocket Word and Excel, so you will need a program or an add-on to open this files in Windows In overall the device serves as good personal assitant if you know how to use it (which is pretty simple). Is great in doing basic stuff, like listening to music, watching videos, looking at pictures, playing soduku, Pocket UFO (a good game in my opinion).Also it works for keeping track of your assestments, tasks, financial reports, calendars, apointments, etc. It has printing function, so if you are able to connect to the printer from this device you are good to go. However if you are trying to replace an Ipod, or other modern PDA or PPC (pocket pc's) then this is not what you are looking for.

This is an older device, definitely getting a little long in the teeth. The main reason I bought it was nostalgia. I had one of these as a kid (middle school age) and it died back then. When I searched them up, I found a few for dirt cheap so I jumped on it. Couple of things to point out. 1. Windows Mobile 2003. This is OLD. REALLY old. You can still find apps for it, but they're getting rarer and rarer. There are some apps that claim to work on WM2k3 that won't work on this, due to the lack of .Net mobile framework or something like that. You can't install that because of number 2: 2. ~56MiB of storage/RAM. Yes, 56 for both combined. They use the same volatile memory for storage and RAM in an asinine see-saw game. Thankfully, the PDA will auto-balance for you (yeah, what a bonus). 3. ... This is an older device, definitely getting a little long in the teeth. The main reason I bought it was nostalgia. Yes, actually, because IE mobile is pretty much the only option for web browsing on this device. Think of IE6 dumbed down and stripped of javascript. And run on a 300MHz ARM core. On top of Windows. With flash mobile 8. 4. Weird-ass proprietary connector. Similar to the Apple 30-pin bastard, but much less prolific. Get a charger and data cable when you get one of these PDAs, or else you will be staring at a lovely plastic brick. 5. SD card slot. Yes, regular old SD. Not Mini, not Micro, definitely not SDHC. I believe the maximum size card is 2GiB, but I have only ever tried up to 1GiB. 6. Resistive touch screen & stylus. Remember those things? Yeah, this is not a finger-friendly touch screen. The keyboard needs a stylus to type on, it's that small. It also supports the old palm-style typing gestures, if you have a hankering for those. 7. WiFi 802.11b, BlueTooth, IrDA, USB. That's all you get. No cellular. But now that I've bad-mouthed it enough, let me tell you this. This PDA was a great media player for me, even if I broke off the headphone jack a few times (soldering skills saved the day). I've seen projects where people mod old PDAs into belt buckles, laptop lids, walls, etc. This would be a perfect candidate for those, seeing as it has WiFi and is dirt cheap. I personally have plans to make it into the media center for my car. So it's not totally useless. If you buy it, know what you're getting. It's not a phone, it's not new. It doesn't have any of the new bells & whistles that most devices have now (no gyro, no light sensor, no accelerometer, no GPS).

A very successful device with multimedia features. With the Samsung processor, has a longer battery life. It is compact and portable. Successful use it as a remote control. Price performance deserves a 4 star.
