I cut a rubber backing gasket and applied plenty of silastic around the wiring entry point. Seams to be holding OK. Product works fine and is a good price. Pity they are not submersible as is.

Now I have to buy a surface box so I can mount the lamp assemble onto its lid. Mount the box base on the trailer surface passing existing wiring through rear into box cavity. Make all lamp connections and attach box lid with trailer lamp previously attached.
