"The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword" game is the 16th entry into the historic Legend of Zelda series from Nintendo. Despite being the 16th entry, this Nintendo game still feels original thanks to a host of inventive ideas. One of these ideas involves the use of a unique game story that strays from the typical conventions of the original Zelda series. Rather than focus its tale on defeating the evil Ganon, the game instead revolves around new antagonist characters Demise and Ghirahim. Additionally, the adventure takes place in the sky kingdom of Skyloft rather than Hyrule. When Zelda is kidnapped and taken to the world below the clouds, Link must venture into this mysterious land to rescue her.The first thing gamers will notice about this Nintendo release is that the controls are unlike any other Zelda game. While past Legend games like "Twilight Princess" and "The Wind Waker" had you attacking with the buttons, "Skyward Sword" is different. This Legend game uses the Wii MotionPlus to have gamers control Link via motion control on the Wii remote. You'll swing the Wii MotionPlus controller in the direction you want the hero to swing. For example, swing from left to right and your character will do the same. This innovative control scheme allows for precise attacks against enemies in the game.Navigation in "Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword" for Nintendo Wii is also different. Rather than walking from location to location, Link uses a giant bird to fly. When a location of interest is discovered, Link will plummet from the bird to explore the world underneath the clouds. "Skyward Sword" is a huge game with many different areas to find in Skyloft. If you ever feel lost at any time, you can ask Fi for assistance. Fi is the spirit who lives in your sword and will provide help in many ways. For example, she can guide you to your next location and point out a weak spot on a boss.At its core, "Skyward Sword" for the Nintendo Wii retains similarities to past games in the franchise. Players will discover classic weapons, such as the bomb and the bow. New weapons are available as well, including a whip that lets you grab items from long distances. On his quest, Link will explore treacherous locations, such as the Eldin Volcano. In each location is a dungeon that will reward him with new items and weapons. These dungeons also house dangerous bosses that drop items necessary for rescuing Zelda. This adventure will take most gamers around 40 hours to complete. However, fans who want to do everything can expect 60 hours or more of game time from this Nintendo Wii video game."The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword" for Nintendo was directed by Eiji Aonuma. His previous work includes Legend of Zelda Nintendo video games, such as "Twilight Princess," "Spirit Tracks," and "Phantom Hourglass." "Skyward Sword" also features original music composed by Koji Kondo and is the first Legend of Zelda Nintendo title to use a live orchestra. "The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword" is packed full of content that fans of the series will love to play time and time again.
