don't plan on being able to open this knife blade with one hand, hopefully it breaks in over time. if it does, I will review this knife again.
Im hoping over time ill be able to use the thumb stud. As of right now its impossible. It locks fine and the quality, other than the ability to use the thumb stud, it pretty good. As of right now, not a one hand open knife.

Good looking, decent quality knife - impossible to open with thumb stud
This is a nice looking, traditional-style knife. The Schrade quality and value are evident. As other reviewers have noted, however, the action is too tight to ever open it with one hand via the thumb stud. This remained the case, even after opening and closing it many times to try to smooth up the action. Attempts to open this knife two-handed are rendered difficult by the lack of a finger groove on the blade. For these reasons I had to pass on using this knife as an EDC knife. It will suffice for the glove box or tackle box, where speed and consistency are not as important.This is a nice looking, traditional-style knife. The Schrade quality and value are evident.
