    Defrost heater kit.

    I removed a single element and installed the new double element. Installation was easy, had to move a wire from one side of the cooling coil to the other, both wires connect on the same side in the double element. Moving the wire was quick and easy. I followed the instructions in the box. I will buy this again.

    Fixes a GE shortcoming

    GE screwed up by using a single Calrod. This dual tube unit replaces it. Keeps the freezer from icing up.

    Great product !

    Apparently GE skimped on freezer's and choose to use a single element defroster bulb to save them tons of money without the public every knowing, UNTIL, your freezer quits working and the appliance repair man shows up with thus double element and explains to this to you. This is a good quality replacement for your single element.
