About this product

Product Information

Life is a turbulent journey, fraught with confusion, heartbreak, and inconvenience. This book will not help. Many collections slap together the wit and wisdom of certain authors in the hopes of inspiring a reader at a crucial time in his or her life. This book contains a bouquet of alarming but inescapable truths from the work of Lemony Snicket, along with selections from his unpublished papers and remarks he has made at dinner parties and anarchist riots, in order to remind the reader that even the loftiest of inspirations contains a sharp, bitter kernel of dread - and vice versa.

Item was several days later than estimate and I have relied on seller's notification of when it was dispatched to attribute that to the post office, not the seller. Otherwise, dispatch appears to have been prompt and packaging satisfactory. Critically, the item was described fairly and I am very happy with it. Many thanks.

  • Excellent product, though a bit more content wouldn't go astray

After reading Lemony Snicket's A series of Unfortunate Events and An Unauthorised Biography, I fell in love with the writing style and just needed more content in this style. The book is pretty much a whole heap of life lessons and observations, that are both humorous and thought provoking. My main problem is the length of the book, with almost every page being dedicated to one of these, there wasn't actually a large amount of content, though the amount that was there was of a high quality. More short stories, or other accompanying material, would've justified the price better. If you like any of Snicket's other work, or need some life advice about love and/or running for your life, this is the book to get.
