Growing up being around records and record players all my life, and a collector in my teens through my 20's, I was very excited when I heard my 17 yr step daughter asking for a record player. Of course I wanted to get her a nice one, but when she started describing what she wanted I was a bit disappointed. So when I came across this on, it had all the features she wanted and the right price I couldn't pass it up. When she opened up and plugged it in, and placed her first vinyl down, I was somewhat impressed. Built in speakers don't sound too bad, but not very loud. Bluetooth connection, is easy and good sound quality. Over all a good buy for a first record player.

First things first: You will need to remove the lid to get this to work properly! It will not play 12" discs properly with the lid attached! It works fine with the lid removed. You will need a Phillips head screwdriver. This is a very basic record player. You will need to upgrade the stylus and remove the lid for proper operation. With the lid attached, the record will rub on it causing a slow down. Perhaps this could be fixed with a mat but It does not come with one or replacement stylus. My fix was to screw on new hinges that allow the lid to lie flat. Even though it only took a couple of minutes to fix, it is a step that should not be necessary.

Wasn’t sure what to expect for $30, but I was THOROUGHLY IMPRESSED! Very high quality and honestly seems like $100-200 piece. Super easy to use and works really well! I’m even buying a second one for a gift because I liked the 1st one so much!

The unit itself is nice, but the record deck is very flimsy and cheap. But, that’s what I was shopping for is a cheap record player, so I’m not displeased. I just expected the record deck to be more solid because of it being loose the record will play slower in some spots because it isn’t level. So if you press down on it, it levels out and plays at a consistent speed.
