      First one was broken

      This is a simplistic piece that works very well. However the first one i got was defective. The white pin was actually broken in half. Must be a Fiskars defect. The seller quickly replaced it. This sharpener will not work on very large shears since they wont fit in the sharpener. Ive also found out that it dont work well on titanium scissors either however its a cheap simplistic design that works well on regular scissors in small to medium sizes.

      Not as good as previously purchased Fiskars scissor sharpeners.

      The jury's still out but the ceramic rod in these sharpeners doesn't seem to be of the same type or quality as the orange Fiskars sharpeners I've previously purchased. The scissors don't slide smoothly against the rod and seem to bind. I never had this problem before. I'm having to "push" the scissors inward rather than "pulling" them outward in a cutting motion in order to make any headway. Not great.

      This product makes sharpening small scissors easier and even some are able to be sharpened where before they could not. There is a small learning curve on how to use this item but it does not take long to learn.

      great little sharpener

      I have had this type of sharpener for many years, and it finally wore out. So, I ordered more. These are exactly like the one I had for many years, so I'm guessing they will also last a long time. They work great!

      Using your sharpener

      For such a small product and price I am happy with the item. The only flaw is that it does not have instructions and there was only one video on youtube that I found that explained how to use it. I had never used one before so was totally ignorant. Works fine.
