"Foreign Correspondent" is so good, it was nominated for six 1940 Academy Awards including Best Picture. Alfred Hitchcock directs this espionage thriller set in prewar Europe. The stars of the film include Joel McCrea, Laraine Day, Herbert Marshall, George Sanders, Albert Basserman, and Robert Benchley. I found myself intently watching the movie for it's entire two hours.
