    Another wonderful singer from Dungiven

    I’m sure the water in Dungiven has a fair amount to do with it because there have been so many tremendous singers from there what else could be the reason. I first heard Cara when she was fifteen and singing with a band called Óige, which is Irish for young or youth and boy were they young! Cara had a song on there called the Flower of Magherally-O and her singing would squeeze the blood from a turnip! I haven’t heard it ever sung as well since. This cd is very tastefully performed by herself and her husband, Sam Lakeman with some others adding their talents and it is what you might expect from Cara if you know of her, laid back arrangements with superb vocals and not a pub song in sight. Which is the way it should be with artist of her caliber. Her sister Mary is also an exquisite ...
